Joint Research Project: SHINE-Path
SHINE-Path investigates fiber-based autofluorescence imaging for real-time diagnostics in brain tumor biopsies. The goal is to automatically classify tissue through visual in vivo feedback, thereby accelerating the initiation of therapy. Key focus areas include MDR-compliant implementation of the imaging system, the integration of Explainable AI, embedding the technology into existing surgical workflows, and human-machine interaction to enhance safety, acceptance, and clinical applicability.
